Aminatu Shaibu Foundation

Empowering Women. Who Carry Families on Their Shoulders.

The Aminatu Shaibu Foundation was founded in memory of Aminatu Shaibu, a resilient single mother of six children who, despite having no formal education and no family support , raised her children through the strength of small businesses and relentless had work. Today we exist to support widows and single mothers cross underserved communities who are walking the sam path. Because when a woman succeeds, an entire generation rises with her.

Mission and impact

Creating Sustainable Opportunities for Women

Across Africa, countless women carry the responsibility of entire families through small businesses and petty trading. These women wake up every day to sell food, clothes, household items, and other essentials just to ensure their children survive, stay in school, and have hope for the future

Yet many of these women struggle, not because they are lazy or incapable, but because they lack access to business knowledge, mentorship, and financial support. The Aminatu Shaibu Foundation exists to bridge that gap.

We identify widows and single mothers who already operate small businesses and equip them with practical training in: ● Bookkeeping ● Customer service ● Marketing ● Financial management ● Business growth strategies

After training, we provide financial support to help improve and stabilize their businesses. Our goal is not temporary relief. Our goal is long-term empowerment that enables women to provide for themselves and their families with dignity.
